efie gallery
Eifie Gallery is a Dubai-based space that highlights artists from Africa and the global African diaspora. Opened in 2022 by the Mintah family, it’s quickly become a place for connection — bridging cultures through art, music, and community. The gallery also runs an artist residency and even features a collection of rare vinyl records, adding a personal touch to its creative energy.

“The Shape of Things to Come”
On view at Efie Gallery, The Shape of Things to Come brings together six internationally acclaimed artists — El Anatsui, Carrie Mae Weems, Abdoulaye Konaté, Yinka Shonibare, Iman Issa, and Adam Pendleton — whose works reflect on how art both responds to and shapes a changing world. Through bold materials, rich textures, and powerful ideas, the exhibition explores transformation, identity, and resilience. From El Anatsui’s shimmering bottle-cap tapestries to Carrie Mae Weems’ intimate photographs and Adam Pendleton’s text-based abstractions, each piece imagines new ways of seeing and making sense of the present. Together, these artists remind us that creativity is not only a mirror of the times but a force that helps shape what comes next.
