“Refined Compositions” by Ruba Salameh

Running from September 13 to November 9, 2025, Refined Compositions brings together new works by Palestinian artist Ruba Salameh. Through layers of abstraction and restrained color, Salameh reflects on memory, loss, and resilience in the face of ongoing conflict. Inspired by Kamal Boullata’s work, she reimagines the Palestinian flag as both a symbol of defiance and remembrance. Tiny, hand-painted ants appear throughout her canvases — quiet, persistent presences that embody endurance, belonging, and the everyday act of survival.
